If you are one of the many new Uber drivers, please check on your insurance policy. Do you think that your standard insurance policy will cover you and your vehicle while driving for Uber? The answer is…. No. Please make sure you contact your insurance agent and ask them to add the ride-share endorsement to your auto policy.
Make sure that the endorsement covers you from the time that you are actively seeking a fare, but have yet to connect with the fare. When a match is made and you are en route to pick up the fare, and then the actual transporting of the passenger to their destination. Covering all of your insurance questions prior to an unfortunate mishap, may help you and your family from suffering even more.
Anyone could potentially be the target of financial exploitation and should be cautious with finances, especially older adults.
